Scribbled F.A.Q.

1) Q: Eh? What’s all this noise about?
A: No noise here! We’re just a humble FFXIV blog and, like most blogs, we simply wish to discuss and chronicle our misadventures. In this case it’s within Eorzea, but we’ll also blog about other things than just our travels so make sure to stop by often!
2) Q: So you guys are just a FFXIV blog? Not a news site or anything?
A: Right. We do blog about news, but it’s simply our personal digestion of it most of the time. Go sign up at a fan site like FFXIVCORE or ZAM for news, they’re dedicated to it.
3) Q: Are you related to FFXIVCore?
A: At the moment, no. The founder of FFXIV Journal, Cerulean Shaman, happens to be an administrator at FFXIVCORE but this blog was in development long before Core existed. Still, there’s an obvious connection so don’t be surprised if you see a lot of content from FFXIVCore since it is obviously easy to get permission.
4) Q: Are you accepting more authors?
A: Yes, we are! This blog was designed from the start to be a multiple author site. Other authors are free to write when and how they wish aside from a few minor base guidelines, however we only accept authors we believe will contribute on a fairly consistent basis instead of posting twice and then “getting bored”. If you think you may be a good candidate go ahead and contact us! Might as well include a rundown of any previous experience and some examples of your work while you’re at it, as well as details on any mmorpg experiences (specifically FFXI) you may have.
5) Q: Can I send you news tips or trade links to my website/blog?
A: Yes, you can! We love building a strong community and would love to trade links if your website passes some minor guidelines. Drop us a line and we’ll talk it over!
6) Q: Any way we could help each other out, somehow?
A: We’re always willing to make and discuss partnerships. If you feel like offering server space, purchasing advertisement space, offering yourself for guest blogging, or have some talent you’d like to offer (like a FFXIV web comic we could host for you), don’t be afraid to drop us a line!
